Service Estimator is designed on a Microsoft
Access® platform. If you do not have MS Access installed on your computer you
can download the runtime version from our website.
Can I add equipment types? Yes, the Service Estimator supports custom equipment types. You define the equipment, the time involved to service the equipment and the dollars that will be necessary for
maintenance material costs and repairs. Any custom equipment types you enter are stored so you can use them again and again.
Can I use multiple labor rates? Yes, you can use an average labor rate for two categories. Labor Grade Level 1 (journeyman) & Labor Grade Level 2 (mechanic). The percentage of time spent on the job for each custom labor rate is set on a job by job basis. Are your estimates competitive? Our estimates are your
estimates. If you have low labor rates and don't markup materials very high you will get very cheap prices. The estimates you get are as profitable or unprofitable as you make them. The labor hours used in Service Estimator are designed to be profitable if you follow the Default Pricing Rates setup instructions in the
user guide document. Review "Establishing Default Estimate Rates" in
the "How Do I..." section of Help
Online. What types of agreements do you have? Service
Estimator Pro will generate four types of agreement documents:
-
Programmed
Maintenance (PM)
-
Programmed Maintenance PLUS (PMP)
-
Total Service Protection
(TSP)
and
Building System Analysis (BSA)
How much will upgrades cost? As
long as you are current with your annual support, maintenance & upgrade
fees, upgrades to existing components will not cost you anything. Add-ons, like
custom reports, sales forecasting and project pricing or major revisions will be an additional fee. Can
I get a Free Trial? Yes!
You can download a FREE 30-day, try before you buy, trial version. All you
have to do is register.
Can I see a demo before I download
a trial? Yes. We recorded one of our Webinars and edited it into
three 10-minute segments.
Can I get a
personal demonstration? Yes!
These demos are interactive and conducted live, online using GoToMeeting®. We let you test
drive the system to make sure you are comfortable with the program. Take as
long as you like. You will
find it easy to use and comprehend. The system is very flexible. You won't
need IT skills to understand how it works. Sign up for an online
demo.
What About
Training? We
conduct two, 2-day, "hands-on" classroom training events per year.
One in the Spring and one in the Fall. This allows you to interact with other
contractors and qualifies you to participate in our user group. The best
comprehension comes from a classroom environment. Or, if you prefer, we can
conduct a GoToMeeting® online training which allows you to invite an
unlimited number of participants. These online classes are broken up into two, 3-hour segments over the course of two days.
This saves you a lot of money in travel and accommodation expenses.
